Unleashing Your Inner Power: Building Self-Confidence and Motivation

Have you ever stood in the kitchen crying? or any other arbitrary location that doesn’t typically cause tears? How do I change? What do I eat to feel better? What do I do to let go of the extra weight? How can I heal more quickly? How do I achieve the strength and power in my body I crave at the gym and in the mirror? How to move into successful mindset, career, relationships, etc.?

You are aware. You have considered and possibly already educated yourself. You have a path in mind that you are interested in taking for your well-being and self promotion. How do I change and keep the desired transformation I long for? Some people cold-turkey their life transformations in wildly dramatic ways and change happens in a moment. For those who haven’t found they are ready, able, or motivated yet still desire redesign…Let’s start at the very beginning.

We are going to gather up all your strengths (in this post), supports, life values, motivations, and future visions in other posts, to create a foundational spring board you can bounce from into success.

You have so much of what you need; let’s highlight it. Self-efficacy, the belief that one has the capability to initiate and sustain a desired behavior, is one of the most important outcomes that could happen with our time together. Self-efficacy with improved self-image (becoming one’s best self), a lasting powerful mindset, and behavior change is the goal. Our time together is for you to achieve and sustain the goals that brought you to this site today and to feel confident in your ability to attain new goals in the future and navigate challenges well as they arise. In other words, learn how to change so that you can move on from this Restorative Source partnership in self directed, motivated, and confident ways.

You are powerful, skilled, knowledgeable, and capable.

Practical Tip (Part 1): Please think of all the ways you are successful in many areas of your life. Now, how would the people closest to you also describe your character strengths, virtues, uniqueness, and abilities? These 2 lists are YOUR power words.

Practical Tip (Part2): You may place YOUR superpowers all around you to remind you how incredible and capable YOU really are! Here are some placement idea:

  • electronic’s wallpaper
  • wipeable marker them on your mirrors
  • place them on your pet’s jacket
  • use alphabet magnets and place your powers on appliances
  • cover your journal
  • place one superpowers on each day of the calendar
  • list of your strengths in your wallet or on your key chain
  • place your list of super-strengths wherever you need a boost of confidence the most
  • got other great placement ideas? Post a comment; maybe it can help someone else.

Additional Practical Tip: ready for more foundational components for the process of change? Check out our blog posts on support, motivation, and vision of your future. These and others help to build a foundation that change may spring from.
